There are many types of floors that are great for dogs. It depends on the size of your dogs, their personalities and habits to determine which will be best for you. Here are some great options:

Laminate, particularly Mohawk’s RevWood. Laminate is one of the toughest wood/wood look floors out there. It is extremely resistant to dents and scratches. Traditional laminate’s Achille’s heel has been moisture. This won’t be a problem if you are around for your fur baby’s accidents. However, if you leave for long periods of time and there are accidents that tend to go unnoticed…. you will want a waterproof surface, and RevWood would be a great choice. 

Another fantastic option would be a luxury vinyl plank with a higher-level wear layer and a stone core (to resist denting), especially if you have larger dogs. Almost all luxury vinyl plank is waterproof so you will have peace of mind if there’s an occasional accident.

Porcelain or ceramic tile is a wonderful choice as well. Although tile won’t be the most budget friendly option, it is very difficult to scratch or crack if installed properly. Porcelain tile is fired at a higher temperature, which makes it stronger than ceramic tile. If you have very large dogs, it is the toughest floor choice out there. All tile is waterproof… just make sure to choose a high-quality grout or have your grout sealed. This will prevent staining if your sweet baby happens to have an accident.
